MA Enrollment Increases Again in 2020, Nearing 25 Million

Medicare Advantage (MA) enrollment maintained a multi-year growth trend in 2020, approaching a total of 25.0 million enrollees—an expansion of close to 8.6 million covered lives since 2014.

From 2019 to 2020, MA HMO and PPO plans registered enrollment growth rates of 8.7% and 11.8%, respectively, while PFFS (27.8%) and other (4.7%) plan membership continued to shrink.
